3D Animation/VFX specialization (AEC)
A new training program will open in the fall of 2022 on the RUBIKA campus!
RUBIKA Montreal’s 3D Animation/VFX training program prepares high-level technicians specializing in 3D animation and special effects. If you already have a solid background in 3D animation, RUBIKA Montreal’s 3D Animation/VFX program will allow you to deepen your knowledge and acquire a Master’s degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree (bac +5).
To access this program, you will have to pass an entrance exam consisting of a 3D animation test on software as well as an oral interview with portfolio.

Training plan
The training is composed of theoretical courses and practical courses in the form of experimental laboratories.
The first year (year 4) is dedicated to an advanced technical training on the tools already covered in the
covered in the Bachelor program (or your old program) and on new tools. The students create a 4-7 minute screenplay with a very strict set of specifications.
The second year (year 5) is dedicated to the production of the film with a regular follow-up from by the teachers.
Duration of the training: 2 years
Cost of training: 15 450$ CAD/year

Admission requirements
Students are selected through a selection process, a motivation interview and a portfolio review.
For international students: hold a Bachelor’s degree in 3D Animation or be in the process of holding a Bachelor’s degree in 3D Animation or another relevant program. (your application will be analyzed)
For local students: Have completed a 2D/3D animation course (DEC, AEC, etc.), hold a relevant graduate degree and have work experience appropriate to the program.
