A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

Rectangle 59@2x

Rooted in the educational tradition of Valenciennes, our school trains people who are open-minded, cultured, competent and responsible. We are committed to preparing you as the next generation of professionals in the Animation, Video Games and Visual Effects sectors, in terms of both know-how and interpersonal skills.

Centered on personalized, friendly and dynamic relationships, the campus gives each student the opportunity to discover and develop his or her full potential. The availability and cooperation of our various staff members enable us to understand, support, motivate and guide each student’s individual potential. Indeed, the human scale of our Campus (200 students with 12 classes of 20/25 students) creates a climate conducive to development.

The campus’s location in the Mile-Ex district means we’re close to these industries on a daily basis (Ubisoft, Gameloft, Framestore, Reel FX, Cinesite…). Our teachers are used to crossing the street to get to us!

This day-to-day management, open to the world and to technological advances, encourages the integration of young international students from different countries and worlds into Montreal’s North American culture. This undeniable richness is an integral part of our DNA, and one that we are proud of.

As you can see, it’s more than a training course, it’s a life experience!

WHY STUDY IN MONTREAL

Studying animation and video games in Montreal

The city quickly became a “HUB” for international companies in the animation and video game sectors (Ubisoft was the 1st to initiate a tax credit agreement with the Quebec government).

He was the driving force behind a long line of companies (Gameloft, Framestore, Mikros etc.).

At the end of the 1980’s, the first French 3D animation and special effects studios (Mac Guff Ligne, Fantôme, Médialab, Buf Compagnie) were internationally recognized and experiencing strong growth. These studios are keen to recruit young talent in line with the needs of their productions.

It was by listening to these companies that the foundations of the school were laid. The training program was one of the pioneers of 3D imaging. Its pedagogical model is a complex alchemy of technique, art and practice.
